Southeast Seeds Pinto Bean - Non-GMO, Dry Shelling, Speckled Bean (Refried Beans), Free Shipping
About this item
Hey gardeners!
Want to grow your own refried beans?
These are Southeast Seeds' Pinto Bean seeds.
They're Non-GMO, open-pollinated seeds for the classic speckled pinto bean, also known as a dry shelling bean.
The plants have a bush or half-runner growth habit, so they don't need a ton of staking.
They're easy to grow in full sun to partial shade and adapt to a wide range of soil types – clay, loam, peat, sand – with a pH around 6.0 to 7.0.
They're annuals, so they'll grow and produce in one season.
You can plant them in spring, summer, or even fall in warmer climates (USDA Zones 3-12).
Harvest them young for green snap beans, or let them mature and dry on the plant for the classic pinto beans perfect for Mexican cuisine and refried beans.
