6-Core Intel Xeon X5690 3.46GHz Processor Upgrade For Mac Pro 4,1 And 5,1 (2009-2012) - Used

If you're still rocking a classic cheese grater Mac Pro from 2009, 2010, or 2012, this is the ultimate CPU upgrade.

You're getting a used Intel Xeon X5690 processor, which is a 6-core chip running at 3.46GHz.

These are the fastest processors you can put in a Mac Pro 4,1 or 5,1.

It's used, meaning it's been in another system before, but it's fully tested and functional.

Might have some minor cosmetic wear from installation, but the important part is it works great.

This upgrade turns that old Mac Pro into a totally usable machine again - way faster for video editing, music production, or just daily use.

You'll need to do the firmware hack if you're coming from a 4,1, but there's tons of guides online.

This is the X5690, which is the top end Westmere chip.

If you want to max out your tower without buying a whole new computer, this is the way to do it.

Six cores, twelve threads, 3.46GHz - makes that old Mac scream.
