Clutch Alignment Tool & Pilot Bushing Kit For MGB 1965-1980 (5 Main Engine)
About this item
If you're tackling a clutch job on your classic MGB (specifically the 5 main bearing engine models from 1965 to 1980), this little kit is going to save you a major headache.
It includes the two things you absolutely need for a smooth installation: a clutch alignment tool and a new pilot bushing.
The alignment tool is crucial—it centers the clutch disc perfectly when you're bolting the pressure plate back on.
Without it, you'll never get the transmission input shaft to slide home.
The pilot bushing (part numbers SP11, GAC5058) supports the tip of the transmission shaft.
This is a new old stock or vintage reproduction part from SCP British, specifically for those classic LBCs.
If you're in the middle of a restoration or a weekend repair on your MGB, having these on hand before you start means you won't get stuck halfway through the job.
It's a small, affordable kit that makes a big difference.
