Midwest Corvette C5 Headlight Bronze Gear Repair Kit – Fixes One Headlight, Fits 97-04

Alright C5 Corvette owners—if your pop-up headlights are making that awful grinding noise or one's stuck shut, you know exactly what the problem is: those plastic gears are stripped.

Here's the permanent fix.

This is a bronze gear repair kit from Midwest Corvette for one headlight (so if both are bad, grab two).

It replaces the factory plastic junk with a machined bronze gear that will never strip out.

Fits all C5s from 1997 through 2004.

The part number is MID-618542-1, and it's a performance/custom fitment type—meaning it's an upgrade, not just a stock replacement.

UPC is 615953592160.

Installation takes a little work (you gotta open the headlight assembly), but it's a one-and-done fix.

No more tapping the dash to get your lights to pop up.
