Starter For Force Outboard 70-150 HP (1983-1999) – 9-Tooth CCW – Replaces 48-0955 / 4412040

If you’ve got an old Force outboard from the 80s or 90s—anywhere from 70 to 150 horsepower—and the starter’s giving up, this is the fix.

It’s a brand new starter motor from Charging Systems Inc, part number 48-0955.

It’s got 9 teeth, spins counterclockwise, and runs on 12 volts.

Fits a ton of models from 1983 all the way to 1999.

Cross-references to part numbers like 4412040, 5273440, SM44120, and even 50-853869.

Comes with a 1-year warranty, and you can extend it if you want.

Just a heads-up: California has that Prop 65 warning, but that’s pretty much on everything these days.

If your boat’s cranking slow or not at all, swap this in and get back on the water.
